Nature
The area is surrounded by 5 KM radius of dance forest. Sometimes you can see small animals like rabbit during your visit. There is lake called Tilbandha, a local picnic spot with the forest. The scenic beauty of river bank and hill view always attracts the tourists towards this lake. The other natural spots are Bad jharan and San jharan situated in same forest. These are small natural waterfall.

Natural Resources
The place is consisting of 70 meter depth finest quality of coal in underground. There is a different kind of clay also available in forest which used to make chalks. There is a sized limestone hill situated near Tilbandha lake.
Culture and language
People of this village follow ancient Sambalpuri Culture and speaks Sambalpuri language. They used to learn Odia language as its comes under Odisha state. People are good in Hindi and some are also in English.
School
There is a U.G.M.E school situated in the village but no high school or college. Students used travel 3 KM for high school situated nearby in Khinda and Patrapali.
Clubs
The only registered club is USVSS (Uma Shankar Biplabi Veer Surendra Sai) club situated in Padhan Para. The number of members may be more than 60. Its a youth club.
Industries
Recently NLC India limited given this coal block for open cast mining project. they registered a project namely TOMPL (Talabira Open Mining Project Limited). This project is famously known as Talabira II and III coal mining project. The nearby plants are BPSL situated in Thelkuli and Aditya Birla plant situated in Lapanga.
